Mouneer Soulaiman studied political science at the American University of Beirut before devoting himself to writing and translating. He translated and published The Art of Seduction in its complete and abridged versions before writing four novels in Arabic and English and translating the fourth into German. Mouneer has been in Germany since 2016, where he has worked as a translator from German to Arabic in a publishing house and as a medical translator between Arabic, German, and English in clinics and hospitals, and as an interpreter for Oliver Kahn’s Agency for professional goalkeepers, as well as teaching Arabic, English, and German and working as a tourist guide in Bavaria and northern Austria. Author and translator Mouneer Soulaiman then moved to Cologne, where he studied German-English translation at the Translators’ and Interpreter’s School after having studied foreign language correspondence (German-English) and expanded his translation work to include translation for the Federal Police, the Federal Office for Migration, and refugees, and telephone and video translation for various official institutions. Mouneer Soulaiman has worked in customer service and as a swimming instructor to learn more about the different aspects of life in Germany. Currently, Mouneer Soulaiman focuses on his work as an interpreter & translator in and around Köln and as a tour guide in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
